Remember when Shayne Gostisbehere first entered the league? It feels like a long time ago, but here is a refresher.
The Fyers were 5-8-3, they averaged less than 2 goals per game and didn’t appear to have a clear identity. When Gostisbehere came onto the scene, he immediately made an impact, getting an assist in his first game and a goal in the next.
He continued his dominance the rest of the year, breaking an NHL record for longest point streak by a rookie defenseman and leading the charge to the playoffs. The Flyers were 36-19-11 with “Ghost” in the lineup.

The trade deadline is just under a month away and the Philadelphia Flyers are in a position where they are going to be sellers.
Back in October, not many would have guessed that the Flyers would be bottom feeders in the NHL. They were considered a fringe playoff team with a holster of young players ready to make a jump.
